what i do
A Multimedia Artist is someone who is skilled in utilizing creative tools to create designs, art, production, and effects for digital media. Their work can include a wide range of tasks, such as graphic design, animation, web design, sound design, photography, production, and game development just to name a few. This artist, however, specializes in working on designs, typography, editing, motion design, 3D, and coding.
how i do
A Multimedia Artist works through a combination of creativity, technical skills, and collaboration to get the job done. This artist starts his creative process by deciding which medium is best effective to solve a problem, compiling tons of references, analyzing which approach works best, and what doesn't, and adding a bit of personal touch to give the project identity.
why i do
It has always been a part of my identity to create designs and use them to solve problems. I've always found it satisfying to see a design come together and create balance. Since I was 15, I've enjoyed recreating designs on PowerPoint during my free time. Copying designs made me realize that I could become a designer myself. When I started creating my own designs, I committed myself to improving my skills through constant practice.
don't be afraid to fail. be afraid not to try.
2023 portfolio
Every Multimedia Artist needs a portfolio to showcase one's skills, projects, and personal branding to build credibility and attract opportunities. It’s so important, that we even have a dedicated course on how to properly make one at Benilde. Here's my portfolio from my portfolio class last 2023 which I made to showcase a compilation of my works and projects.

multimedia magic
The greatest weapon of a Multimedia Artist is their versatility in creating projects. We are equipped to create mediums using multiple approaches (hence the name "multi-media"). From 3D to photo editing, here's a glimpse of the creative process behind some of my artwork.(Use the slider to see the before and after of each artwork)
Represents both the personal branding of John Benedict Mangco and a platform to showcase his works as a creative. It’s also an idea as a standard of good design. It is not just a word but a concept that pushes an artist to meet a level of quality that is universal to many. Its principle urges creators to create high-caliber creations, explore innovative approaches, and refine their work until it achieves a harmonious balance of functionality, aesthetics, and creativity. It serves as a notion that inspires artists to make near-perfect feats. Remeber, make the standard onpoint.
